Nordenshippies meetings
Our meetings are for everyone (regardless of age) needing help or with an interest in hip resurfacing or just wishing to meet and exchange experiences with others that already had a hip operation. To date more than 2600 Swedes have received a hip resurfacing prosthesis and our numbers are rising quickly.
The next 2021 meetings:
Our hope to organize a new meeting in Örebro one weekend in May or June 2021 was disturbed by the Corona situation. Time will tel if we succeed having a meeting this autumn but you can in any case show your interest. During our meeting weekends the participants are offered a free of charge consultation with one of the surgeons present but this needs to be booked with me in good time. You can contact me by e-mail if you would like to stay informed about the meetings or to book. Only meeting participants are offered time with a surgeon.
Please through e-mail and pay before the end of June using “Swish”, also indicate if you request a consultation with one of the surgeons.
Persons with a consultation need to send me their x-rays well in time though snailmail or else through an upload using WeTransfer and after having had contact with me first.

07.30-10.00 consultations (following a time booked with me)
10.00-10.45 welcoming break with coffee/tea
10.45-12.00 presentation by Dr. Geert De Loore: “Why should we come to Belgium to have hip surgery?“, followed by a question time
12.00-13.00 gemensam lunch
13.00-13.15 group photo (outside if allowed by the weather)
13.15-15.00 presentation by Dr. Koen De Smet: “Patients with a resurfacing live longer and are more active!“, followed by a question time
15.00-15.30 coffee break – closing of meeting
15.30-20.00 consultations (following a time booked with me)
The costs for the day including a possible consultation is: Sek 610:- per person. Payment via Swish number: 0707-589099 and marked with your name.
A limited number of meeting participants with a problem can free of charge be offered a short personal consultation with one of the participating specialists. Consultations should be booked in time via me, whereby I can give further instructions about the most likely required x-rays .

13.15-15.00 presentation by Dr. Koen De Smet: ”The future of hip resurfacing”, followed by question time
15.00-15.30 “fika” – closing of the meeting
15.30-20.00 consultations (following the time booked with me)
The costs for the whole day are Sek 605:- per person, payment via Swish number: 1233710027 or bank account: 9024 78 230 33 and marked with your name
New autumn meeting 2018: Saturday and Sunday the 10th + 11th of November in Örebro Book in time!
Place: Elite Stora Hotellet, Drottninggatan 1, Örebro. Suite: “Lilla Salen”. The Kick-off happens early in the morning with consultations that are then picked up again in the afternoon and Sunday-morning. Participants with a booked consultation are contacted by email about their consultation day and time.
All x-rays to be used in conjunction with consultations must be sent to me on or before the 27th of October: the images are sorted by name of the owner and saved on the USB-stick that Dr. De Smet and Dr. De Loore will use during the consultations. You can NOT bring your own storage media with you.
The cost for the day are 600:- kr. p. person and can be paid by Swish to: +46-707-58 90 99 or by bank transfer to account number: 9020.33.047.82 marked with ”Meeting…and your name…”. The definite last day for payment is the 27th of October and is binding.
