Women can only be operated abroad

As I predicted and wrote here 10-30-2010 have the Swedish surgeons meanwhile fully adopted last year’s recommendation from the Swedish hip arthroplasty register to refuse all women hip resurfacing. Contact with women since then has proven that surgeons accept this recommendation without questioning why the low results with women in Sweden do not occur with for orthopaedic surgeons that are specialized on hip resurfacing. The answer is that Swedish surgeons never reach the level of experience and proficiency that is required to reach good results. It is perhaps good that women are now forced to consult and be helped by real specialists without having to be nervous about low results, but it stays unacceptable that this service and required level is not offered in Sweden!
